The track was opened in the year 1999 in the industrial area by Unterwölbling at the edge of a quartz sand pit between Krems and St. Pölten
Over the years, and associated continual change work and adaptions one of the most beautiful and in the best way equipped buggyareas in Lower Austria was developed.
Due to the assignment of the European Championship 2009 to Austria and the MSV Wölbling, the club guidance decided for a modern layout and changed the track in the beginning of year 2008. Apart from the extension of the track to approx. 350 meters, new challenges for the drivers and the cars were added. The participants now expect a varied, but also provocative terrain with a steep curve, a powerful table and some differentiated jumps.
But also the infrastructure was not neglected, the club make the effort to extend these and hold it at the last state of the art.
For the coming International Friendship Race and the European Championship 2009 an area of approx. 6000 sq metres is available for the drivers and their teams. The paddock have a size of 600 sq metres, where each participant has a suitable work space, including power supply placed at the disposal.
